Mission
The Hackberry Hill Library mission is to develop creative, effective, and ethical users and creators of information in a safe, collaborative, and global environment while encouraging inquiry and fostering personal growth, now and for the future. In order to reach its mission, the library is committed to:
- Ensuring learners become effective and ethical users of ideas and information
- Facilitating authentic, standards-based instruction to increase student achievement via collaboration between the digital teacher librarian and classroom teacher
- Promoting reading and information literacy for life-long pleasure and learning
- Collaboration among students and teachers to provide authentic learning opportunities both in person and through technology
Checkout Policy
Books are checked out for a two-week period.
- Kindergarten – First grade: 1 book
- Second – Fifth grade: 2 books
Students will not be able to check out books until it is paid or returned.
